Just a small mix of updates from my miniature corner this week: something new, something free, and a little throwback I recently revisited myself.

• A new build on the blog: Old Shanghai by Anavrin

I finished the Old Shanghai book nook kit from Anavrin and really enjoyed putting this one together.
It has that quiet street-scene feeling with lots of tiny details and warm lighting that make it nice to look at even when it’s sitting on the shelf.

• A little dollhouse history (throwback post)

I also ended up updating one of my older posts about the origins of dollhouses.
It’s funny to remember they started out as miniature display cabinets for adults long before they became toys or hobby projects.

I’ve been trying to find good YouTube channels with longer miniature tutorials lately, but it feels like many creators are moving toward Shorts.
Personally, I still enjoy slower, detailed builds.

So I’m curious:
